Davidoff Event with Paul Walker
Last Tuesday afternoon, HiStyley had the pleasure of attending the Davidoff “CoolWater” event in Malibu, Ca. The setting was a beautiful contemporary house perched on the edge of a cliff with floor to ceiling windows and an infinity pool that appeared to flow into the Pacific Ocean. The afternoon was highlighted with back and foot massages poolside, fabulous hand-passed hors d’oeuvres and a water bar featuring over 15 different types of waters. The background was filled with the R&B sounds of the very talented duo of Jacob Luttrell and Ryan Cross.
We were lucky enough to sit down with Paul Walker the new face of “Cool Water” and have a one on one conversation about his laid-back life style, his family, his passion for cars and his love for “Cool Water” of course.
Paul began speaking about his first experience with trying on “Cool Water” when he
was in Jr. High School and the impact that moment had on him…he told the story with
a true fondness of that time in his life.
Here are a few highlights from our conversation with Mr. Paul Walker:
H: You said your first experience trying on “Cool Water” was in Jr. High School,
that was almost two decades ago…how do you think “Cool Water” is able to appeal
to today’s market?
P: To me “Cool Water” is classic, it is a timeless fragrance; it is a scent that will transcend for decades to come.
H: We understand you studied Marine Biology, does your passion for the ocean have
any relevance in your decision to be the new face of “Cool Water”?
P: That was the connection they {The Davidoff Company} made, and I definitely have a passion for it {Marine Biology}, but for me I pride myself on being a natural
guy, I have always been a “Cool Water” guy.
H: We hear you are a huge collector of cars.
P: I love art, painting and sculptures I love the impressionistic era, to me cars are
usable art, I love the lines and the aesthetic of cars, it has always been a passion
for me.
H: You are a self described “California Guy”, where are your favorite spots to
hang-out?
P: When I was younger I loved to go to Cabo San Lucas; it is still a special place for
me visit, but now I am a pretty simple guy, I’m more low-key not so radical at this point in my life, I like to do photography and hiking.
As we leave this fabulous Malibu setting the sun is just beginning to disappear
behind the Pacific Ocean, we are handed an amazing gift bag at the door
and our car seems to magically appear with flawless timing, a perfect end to a perfect evening. Thank you to the entire Davidoff Team and a huge thank you to the very handsome and very talented Paul Walker.
